![]() Students are not screened before being admitted to the studio and admittance is non-discriminatory. Students will not be granted or denied admittance in regard to race, religion, color, creed, national or ethnic origin. Upon request for admittance, an appointment will be made for an interview. At the interview, a prospective student/parent will have a chance to look over the handbook and ask questions. Each new student will be required to undergo a short audition during the interview. The audition will take approximately 15 minutes to a half an hour and will consist of a small ear-training exam. Two samples of contrasting selections of music should be brought to play, if the student has previously studied piano or keyboard, or to sing, if requesting vocal lessons (regardless of prior experience). Vocalists will need to bring an accompaniment tape/CD for each selection they will be auditioning on. Piano/keyboard students should bring the most currently studied method books or solo manuscripts if they have previously studied. At the time of the interview, a non-refundable $25 audition fee will be assessed and should be paid upon arrival. Results will be given within 24 hours of the interview.
